Lakeville's 2026 Street Rehabilitation Project (CP 26-02) covers about 5.25 miles of local and collector streets, milling and overlaying pavement while replacing hydrants, valves, and corrosion-protection devices on the watermain and repairing storm and sanitary sewer structures; construction started in April and runs through November (City of Lakeville). A separate 214th Street Reconstruction (CP 26-01), a full rebuild including watermain corrosion protection and stormwater work, is running a similar spring-to-summer timeline near the Imperial and Airlake Industrial Park area (City of Lakeville). Dakota County is also designing the County Road 50/County Road 5 diverging diamond interchange at I-35, with design and right-of-way work through 2028 ahead of construction in 2029-2030 (Dakota County).
