Lone Oak Road reconstruction plus citywide 2026 Street Revitalization program underway
What's happening in Eagan right now
Dakota County is midway through its Lone Oak Road (County Road 26) reconstruction, rebuilding the road between Highway 13 and Pilot Knob Road and resurfacing it to I-35E, cutting the segment from four-five lanes to three with a new center turn lane and expanded medians (Dakota County). The city's 2026 Street Revitalization program (Contracts 26-01, 26-02) is repaving dozens of residential streets, including Blackhawk Road, Rahn Road, Cliff Lake Road, the Deer Hills/Sun Cliff/Fox Ridge neighborhood, and the Wellington/Westminster Circle area (City of Eagan). Metropolitan Council crews are also finishing the Eagan Siphon Outlet Improvements, replacing about 800 feet of sanitary forcemain and two junction structures on Nicols Road, running through fall 2026 (Metropolitan Council).
