Bailey West development approved — 185 acres of new sewer, water, and stormwater work coming to Oakdale
What's happening in Oakdale right now
The Oakdale Planning Commission approved the Bailey West development on July 9 — a 185-acre project with a comprehensive plan amendment, rezoning to industrial/office, and preliminary plat. As part of the approval, the developer must pay for new traffic signal and pedestrian improvements at Force Street and Hale Avenue, build new road accesses off Force Street and Hadley Avenue, cover the sewer connection charge, and get all permits from outside government agencies. Site civil construction plans are in review. This is a shared development between Woodbury and Oakdale, with three stormwater management areas including a large regional basin. Recent closures also include Oakdale Road roadwork near Riverbank. MnDOT is running the Westbound I-94 project through St. Paul, Maplewood, and Oakdale this summer.
