What's happening in Pine City right now
The Pine City Council approved municipal consent this year for a new signalized intersection at CSAH 7 (Hillside Trail) and 13th Street SW, a $970,000 project with the city covering roughly $242,500 of the cost and a temporary detour routed through city streets during construction (Pine City Council agenda). On the utility side, Pine City is moving ahead on a $750,000 wastewater treatment pond system upgrade, funded through a federal appropriation secured by Minnesota's congressional delegation (Sen. Amy Klobuchar), plus continued mill-and-overlay funding in the city's capital plan. To the south on I-35, MnDOT has striping and pavement marking work wrapping up through Pine County this season (KBEK).
